What are Veneers?
Dental veneers are a great way to improve the look of chipped, stained, or crooked teeth, in as little as one or two appointments. Mimicking the appearance of natural teeth, veneers will improve the look of your teeth at a fraction of the cost of a crown. There are two main types of dental veneers available: composite resin and porcelain.
Composite Veneers
These are cost effective and less invasive than porcelain veneers, as they are built up on your tooth instead of being bonded onto the surface. Applied one layer at a time until the tooth is covered, each layer is then shaped and cured until the final result is achieved.
Porcelain Veneers
These are strong, durable, and closely resemble your natural tooth enamel along with being a long-lasting alternative to other treatments. Each veneer is custom-made and then bonded to the front of the tooth. They look and feel very natural and are perfect for patients whose teeth are discoloured or for patients with a chipped or cracked teeth as they repair the shape and protect the tooth from further problems.
